Sevangan Foundation is a grassroots nonprofit organization working to uplift underprivileged children and women from tribal, rural, and migrant communities. Founded by social work professional Ms. Manisha Naik, the Foundation is built on a vision of equitable education, empowerment, and sustainable community development.
Our Story
From Passion to Purpose
The story of Sevangan Foundation is rooted in the lived experiences of our founder, Ms. Manisha Naik, a passionate social work professional with over a decade of experience in the development sector. She served as Superintendent and CSR Head at the organization of Padmashri Dr. Sindhutai Sapkal (Mai), where she led child development programs and supported Orphans and vulnerable children in meaningful, impactful ways.
Her work extended to managing CSR projects in remote villages and collaborating with NGOs across rural and tribal areas. Through her fieldwork in regions such as Velhe, Bhor, and Mulshi in Pune district, she witnessed the challenges faced by underserved children and women—especially in access to education, healthcare, and basic rights.
These insights inspired her to create a holistic, inclusive, and community-led model focused on child development and women’s empowerment. In 2018, this vision came to life with the founding of ‘Sevangan Foundation’.
